Jose Mourinho admits he would like to coach in Germany’s Bundesliga.

The country will host his former rival at Barcelona, Pep Guardiola, next season, following the Spanish tactician’s decision to sign a three-year contract at Bayern Munich.

Guardiola went head-to-head with Mourinho in Spain until standing down as Barcelona coach at the end of last season.

It is possible though the rivalry could be continued, with the Bundesliga as the backdrop, following Mourinho’s admission that he would like to taste life in Germany’s top flight.

Interviewed by Rai Sport, Mourinho would not be drawn on Guardiola’s decision to take over at Bayern Munich, but he did say: "What is certain is that I will coach in Germany."

Mourinho has already won league titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain, and is keen to add further national titles to his list.

It remains to be seen if the Portuguese tactician has a club in Germany in mind however.

He has seen clubs from the country at close quarters throughout his career though and Real Madrid locked horns with Borussia Dortmund in this season’s Champions League group stage.
