Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor have confirmed the capture of English defender Anton Ferdinand.

The centre-back has joined the club on loan until the end of the season from Premier League outfit QPR.

Ferdinand has fallen out of favour at Loftus Road under current manager Harry Redknapp, with his last Premier League appearance for the side coming on 26th December, and is now heading to Turkey to play regularly.

He will see a familar face at the club in the shape of goalkeeper Scott Carson.

Bursaspor currently sit seventh in the Turkish Super Lig standings, only nine points behind league leaders Galatasaray.

Ferdinand will hope to impress in the Super Lig and could yet earn a permanent move to the club in time for next season.

The defender joined QPR in 2011 from Sunderland.
