QPR have reached an agreement with Portuguese giants FC Porto for the transfer of defender Rolando.

According to Portuguese daily A Bola, the two clubs have now thrashed out the terms of the deal, and now the ball is in the defender’s court.

Rolando must still agree personal terms with QPR and Rs boss Harry Redknapp may have to charm the Portugal international into joining the club’s fight against relegation from the Premier League.

However, the Azzurri want to take Rolando on loan until the end of the season, when only then will the side take a decision over turning the move into a permanent one.

Porto though want to cash in on Rolando.

QPR are desperate to sign a solid centre-back before the winter window closes, with Ryan Nelsen leaving to take over as coach of MLS side Toronto FC.

In Rolando, they seem to have found their man.
