Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers feels that it is unlikely the club will sign any players before the transfer window closes this evening.

Rodgers has already signed Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, while he admits he wants to snap up former Liverpool player Thomas Ince from Blackpool.

That though, Rodgers has declared, is unlikely.

"I don’t think there’ll be any more coming in [in January]", the Liverpool manager told his club’s official site after last night’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal.

On the subject of Ince, Rodgers was quoted as admitted that he wants him at Anfield, but it is unlikely to happen today.

"Ince was one where we could have made a deal but it looks like it’s a bit complicated", he said.

"It will be difficult [to sign Ince]. It is also about affordability as well.

"If Tom stays at Blackpool it doesn’t mean he will never come to Liverpool but in this window it looks like it will be a difficult one."

It remains to be seen if Rodgers will pull a rabbit out of the hat before the winter window slams shut, or whether Liverpool go with what they have got.
