Greek giants Olympiacos have appointed former Sevilla coach Michel as their new boss.

The Super League side have been chasing Michel and have now got their man, with the Spaniard agreeing to ink a deal running until 2015.



Olympiacos will now present Michel to the press at 14:00 (Greek time) today.

The former Spain midfielder was sacked as Sevilla coach on 14th January.

Michel is rated as a promising coaching talent and has been mooted as a possible future Real Madrid boss.

The 49-year-old is a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy and played for the Spanish giants from 1981 until 1996, picking up six La Liga titles along the way.

He takes over an Olympiacos side sitting top of the Greek Super League and leading the standings by 13 points.
