Chelsea outcast Florent Malouda is ready to sign for Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala – but only if the wealthy Dagestan side roughly double his current salary.

According to Russian daily Izvestia, Malouda has let it be known that he is willing to sign for Guus Hiddink's side if he is paid around €190,000 per week.

Anzhi Makhachkala have sounded out Malouda about arriving on a one-and-a-half-year contract this winter; the Russian transfer window remains open at present and Hiddink's men could pay Chelsea €1M to sign the French winger.

However, Malouda wants a huge pay rise to join Anzhi Makhachkala, while he is not the Russian side's primary transfer target.

That is Benfica's Nicolas Gaitan, a player the Portuguese giants are at present pricing out of a switch to Dagestan.

Malouda's demands, if they do not change, are likely to cause Anzhi Makhachkala to cool their interest in the 32-year-old, while the player's agent has explained that he is working to move the former Lyon winger on from Stamford Bridge this winter.

"At the moment we're working in order for Florent to leave Chelsea this winter", the player's representative Salavador de Mirandia told Izvestia.

"The London club have agreed to conduct preliminary negotiations with potential buyers."

And Mirandia explained that he is now studying the offers that have arrived for his client, with Malouda's desire being the most important factor.
