Borussia Dortmund have rubbished a story from Sky Sport News that striker Robert Lewandowski has been granted permission to speak to other clubs.

The organisation had claimed that the Poland international was being allowed to talk to interested parties, with a contract at Dortmund which expires in the summer of 2014.

However, the German champions have quickly rubbished that talk, taking the unusual approach of addressing the report directly on their official site.

"This is totally fictitious", announced Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc.

Lewandowski is considered a key player by Dortmund and the German giants are keen for him to pen an extended deal.
