The agent of Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao has left the door firmly open for his client to move to Italy to join one of Serie A’s top sides.

Damiao is rated as one of the hottest properties in Brazilian football and he was chased intently by English Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur over last month’s transfer window.

The White Hart Lane club failed to get their hands on Damiao, with his club side Internacional not ready to sell, although they did admit there is a figure which would get the 23-year-old – and it is a large one.

But it is not just England which could be the striker’s destination, with Italy also appealing, according to the player’s agent Vinicius Prates.

"I have not yet spoken with the Azzurri [Napoli]", he told Tutto Mercato.

"Napoli is a great club, a beautiful place where Brazilians are well received", he continued.

"Inter? Even in this case, it is a great club."

Damiao is under contract at Internacional until 2017, with the Brazilian side firmly in the driving seat over his future.
