Goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto has penned a new contract with Barcelona.

The 37-year-old custodian has now agreed to extend his stay at the Camp Nou until at least the summer of 2014.

The news is a boost for the Blaugrana, after number 1 goalkeeper Victor Valdes announced he would not extend a contract which expires in 2014.

Pinto had agreed to extend his deal in December last year, but now the paperwork has been done and pen has been put to paper.

The Spaniard joined Barcelona in 2008, moving from Celta Vigo.
