Sporting Lisbon turned down an offer of €11M from Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv last month for striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel, according to Tutto Mercato.

The Dutch hitman was hot property during last month’s window and was widely suggested as being available for the right price.

Van Wolfswinkel was linked with a number of clubs, including English Premier League sides Newcastle United and Norwich City.

But Sporting Lisbon were determined not to let the 24-year-old leave on the cheap.

And not even €11M, arriving from Dynamo Kyiv, was enough to change the Portuguese side’s mind.
