The Manchester City striker spent last season on loan at the Rotterdam giants, scoring a superb 20 goals in 23 Eredivisie matches, before his campaign was derailed by injury.

Guidetti remains a popular figure at De Kuip and Feyenoord fans were desperate for the club to secure him on a permanent deal from Manchester City.

Feyenoord supporters even started a petition to keep Guidetti at the club, which attracted thousands of signatures.
