Manchester United are intensifying their scouting of Lille full-back Lucas Digne.

The Red Devils have been tracking the 19-year-old for some time, along with fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool.

But now they could be laying the foundations for a summer swoop by stepping up their scouting of Digne.

According to France Football, Manchester United talent spotters took in Digne’s performance for France’s Under-20s against Portugal on 5th February.

It was a 2-0 win for Les Bleus in which Digne scored the first goal of the game, further enhancing his standing.

Securing the left-back from Lille will not be an easy task though, with Rudi Garcia’s men desperate to keep hold of the starlet.

Digne has featured 20 times in Ligue 1 for Lille so far this season, while he also played seven games in the Champions League for the French side.

The defender is under contract at Lille until 2017.
