Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi, who was on loan at Wigan, believes he is ready to play for the Gunners and wants to showcase his qualities during pre-season.

The Japanese starlet signed a professional contract with Arsene Wenger’s side in the summer of 2011, and was subsequently sent for loan spells at Feyenoord and Bolton Wanderers. He was again loaned out for the season to the Lactics last summer.

The 20-year-old is now ready to play for the English giants and hopes to recover quickly from the ankle ligament injury he suffered during an FA Cup tie at Everton in March.

"I’m always ready to play for Arsenal. It’s my dream to play for Arsenal. First of all, I have to recover as soon as possible. Then I want to show my quality when I get fit”, Miyaichi told his club’s official site.

“My ankle is getting better so I’m comfortable at the moment. My target is to be there [on the Asia tour] so I think I can be fit in pre-season."

Although the Japan international made just seven stars for the Lactics during his loan spell this season, he feels the spell at the DW Stadium will stand him in good stead.

"Being there helped me to grow up. As a person, I’m growing up every day.

“When I was at Wigan the training was very good and the people are very kind so I got some good experience there. I feel I’m improving but I need to keep working hard."

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez also declared recently that Miyaichi has "an incredible future" in football and the 20-year-old hopes he can start showing his worth in an Arsenal shirt from this summer.
