Unsettled Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has maintained he will not be thinking about his future at Anfield until after the Confederations Cup, where his country Uruguay are contending to clinch the prestigious title.
The statement comes amid heated talk that Suarez may well be on his way to the Santiago Bernabeu after he received "out of proportion" insults from across England for his bite on Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic – for which he was given a ten-match ban – during the two clubs’ 2-2 draw at Anfield in April.
It is thought that Real Madrid are masterminding a transfer move for the Uruguayan, something that Suarez himself admitted would be a "dream".
But now the Liverpool star is taking a step back from the rumours and is choosing to keep his cards close to his chest, telling Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, "I am focused on the Confederations Cup and not thinking of any transfer."
