Scottish Premier League holders Celtic will take on Ross County at Celtic Park in their opening league fixture of the 2013/14 season on 3rd August.

The full SPL fixture list, for the upcoming season, has been released today.



The Celts continue their campaign against Aberdeen away, with the St Mirren clash set to be postponed as Neil Lennon’s side meet Liverpool in a friendly.

Meanwhile, Motherwell, who finished second in the Scottish top flight last season, start their campaign against Hibernian and also take on Aberdeen, and Inverness, who finished fourth in the league last season, in the following two matches.

St. Johnstone start their campaign against Hearts, whereas Scottish Cup 2013 finalists Dundee United go head to head against Partick Thistle, who were promoted to the Scottish top tier last season.

The Hoops won the SPL title last season under Northern Irish manager Neil Lennon, by a whopping 79 points – 16 ahead of Motherwell.
