Serie A side Torino have announced the capture of Swedish schemer Alexander Farnerud.
The former Stuttgart player has been snapped up from Swiss Super League side BSC Young Boys on a three-year deal. The transaction details have however not been disclosed.
The 29-year-old played for Stuttgart between 2006 and 2008, and lifted the Bundesliga trophy with the Swabians in the 2006/07 season.
Farnerud joined Danish giants Brondby in the summer of 2008 and moved to Young Boys in January 2011, where he scored 16 times out of 82 league appearances.

He clocked up 48 appearances for the club in all competitions last season, scoring 11 times and assisting six times.
The club finished seventh in the 2012/13 season, with 43 points – 29 points below Swiss giants and eventual champions Basel.
Meanwhile, Torino finished 16th in Serie A last season – two places above the relegation zone.
The midfielder has also earned eight caps for Sweden and has scored twice.
