Arsenal’s bid to have access to Spanish top flight football for their young talents is set to become a reality with the signing of a collaboration agreement with La Liga side Real Betis, according to Seville-based daily Estadio Deportivo.
The Gunners have already seen one successful outcome of their previously unofficial agreement with Betis, with Joel Campbell having spent time on loan in Spain.
The 20-year-old has only found the net twice this season in 28 league games, but is hailed as a prospect for the future.
While he has himself admitted to producing a lack of firepower, it is understood the striker is keen on extending the loan spell with Betis, whom he joined in July last year.

Campbell’s agent had revealed in April that Betis were also looking for an extension to his loan contract, even if an eventual return to Arsenal was on the cards.
The Costa Rican has not been without other suitors, however, with newly promoted Premier League side Crystal Palace understood to be in the hunt as well.
However, with the collaboration agreement signed, it is expected that Arsenal will continue using Betis as a rearing ground for their youngsters.
In addition, the Gunners leadership could move for a return to England for Campbell, believing him to be ready for the step up to the Premier League.
The collaboration process has already seen Betis make enquiries about four Arsenal players from back in April, and more will be sure to eye a stint in Spain.
Betis had initially missed out on a Europa League spot this season after finishing seventh in La Liga by a single point behind Malaga.
However, a Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling that banned Malaga from European competition for the new season means Betis will now take up the final Europa League spot.
