German giants Bayern Munich start their campaign in the 2013/14 Bundesliga season with a clash against Borussia Monchengladbach on 9th August.
The 51st Bundesliga season’s fixtures have been announced today, and the campaign will get under way with the defending champions hosting the five-time German champions.
The two teams also met on the final day of the last season, when former Bavarians manager Jupp Heynckes bid an emotional farewell to the German top flight.
The historic treble winners will be joined by former Barcelona head coach Pep Guardiola on 24th June at the Allianz Arena – when he will be presented.

Meanwhile, 2013 Champions League runners-up, as well as 2011/12 Bundesliga winners Borussia Dortmund, go head-to-head with Augsburg on 10th August.
The Ruhr giants faced the Bavarians in the Champions League final at Wembley last month, but were defeated 2-1, courtesy of a goal from Dutch star winger Arjen Robben at the death.
The Borussians have also lost highly-rated starlet playmaker Mario Gotze to their Der Klassiker rivals this summer, and the future of star forward Robert Lewandowski also seems to be hanging in balance.
Both teams meet each other for the first derby of the new season on 23rd November.
