Djibril Cisse may be firmly on Ligue 1 club Montpellier’s radar for this summer, but the Queens Park Rangers striker insists nothing about a possible move has been confirmed yet.
Cisse spent time on loan in the Qatar Stars League – moving there in the January transfer window – where he turned out for Al-Gharafa Sports Club, alongside former Lazio and Palermo man Mark Bresciano as well as ex-Liverpool player Harry Kewell.
His future at QPR, who were relegated this season, has come under doubt, even if he did make 18 appearances before going to Qatar.
Whilst Montpellier have shown their interest in signing the 31-year-old, Cisse remains coy over whether the two parties can agree to terms, with the player’s contract set to run out next summer.

"The truth of the day is that I just finished my loan in Qatar and I have now returned to QPR", Cisse told Mercato365. "For the rest, I cannot say anything because nothing is done.
"I’ve never hidden the fact that I would like to return to France. Everything depends on the clubs involved and what they can do."
France international Cisse made the move to England from Auxerre, joining Liverpool in 2004, but also spent time on loan at Marseille before completing a permanent transfer.
A further loan spell at Sunderland preceded his move to Panathinaikos and then to Lazio before Mark Hughes brought him to QPR.
A return to France is high on his agenda, and Montpellier look a likely destination, even if he had previously insisted a Marseille return would be a dream transfer for him.
"Montpellier I am looking at, yes", he added. "But for the rest, I do not know. [Which is my future club] is the question for now. But I’ll be in training with QPR on 1st July."
