Edinson Cavani is unwilling to talk with Napoli about his future destination whilst being thousands of miles away from Italy, even if he has been given an ultimatum regarding a decision.
While Cavani has the small matter of helping Uruguay beat hosts Brazil tomorrow in order to make the Confederations Cup final, the question of his future club has been providing ample headlines back in Europe.
Chelsea were yesterday reported to have stolen a march on Real Madrid, but Cavani’s agent was quick to close that door.
Los Blancos have arguably been in pole position for the Napoli striker, a sentiment confirmed when he claimed Real Madrid were a "dream club".

With all the speculation surrounding him, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis sought to speed up proceedings by issuing a one-month deadline within which Cavani was expected to sort out his future.
However, Cavani insists he will only make the decision based on a personal meeting with the club’s leadership.
"I belong to Napoli and everything depends on that club", Cavani told Marca. "If at some point there is another option, we’ll see.
"What I want to do is sit down face-to-face with the president and decide my future together. If I leave one day, I’ll be ready to move to a bigger club."
An off-shoot of the Cavani saga has arisen ever since members of his family began revealing apparent movements around his potential transfer.
His brother had claimed back in May that Real Madrid were interested in the player, while his mother said earlier this month that talks had been held with Los Blancos and Manchester City, respectively.
However, Cavani has attempted to put his foot down within the family, by adding: "This is a good opportunity to tell the world that when my family speaks, that isn’t Edinson Cavani speaking.
"I’ve asked my family thousands of times to please not talk anymore, because it harms me."
As for a reported offer from Real Madrid, the man with 29 Serie A goals was again not letting much on.
"Real is one of the best clubs in the world, but there is no deal yet", he said. "In all honesty, I was [surprised to hear about the offer], because officially I don’t know anything about it."
