Ahmed Elmohamady is set to continue his love affair with the managerial workings of Hull City boss Steve Bruce, as the Egyptian put pen to paper on a three-year deal at the KC Stadium.

It was Bruce who had brought the winger to his erstwhile parent club Sunderland in 2010, and the 25-year-old then came out on loan last season to the Tigers.

Bruce has guided his development for the majority of the 2012/13 promotion-winning campaign, as the player made 41 Championship appearances, scoring three goals.

Elmohamady was part of the final-day extravaganza that saw Hull City emerge with a 2-2 draw against title-winners Cardiff City, and then secure promotion thanks to results elsewhere.

And he is hoping for another dramatic season, this time in the Premier League, telling the club’s site: "It feels great to be here permanently, especially after what happened here last season.

"It was a great year and I thoroughly enjoyed playing for this club. Moving here was an easy decision to make. The fans are fantastic and it will be enjoyable to play in front of them in the Premier League.

"The manager was the one who brought me over from Egypt to play for Sunderland and now he has brought me here. I really enjoy playing for him and I look forward to doing so again now."

Elmohamady’s transfer fee was not disclosed while the capture is subject to a work permit.

Former Manchester United boss Bruce has also confirmed a two-year extension for former Fulham and Reading defender Liam Rosenior.

The 28-year-old will remain with the Tigers until 2015, having already spent nearly three years at the club, where he has notched 106 appearances to date.

Today’s announcements follow this summer’s other arrivals where Hull City have recruited Wigan Athletic’s Maynor Figueroa, Birmingham City’s Curtis Davies as well as signing George Boyd permanently from Peterborough United.
