Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is relishing the prospect of visiting Vietnam with his team in their pre-season Asia tour in July.

The Gunners will go head-to-head with the Vietnam national team at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on 17th July.

The England international also poured praise on the Gunners fans in Asia, and said that he is looking forward to returning the favour by putting on a good display.

“To be able to go somewhere where they haven’t experienced an English team coming over, especially a big club like Arsenal, is brilliant”, Oxlade-Chamberlain told his club’s official site.

“For them to be able to show their support for us, because they don’t get to come to many games, is really good [and for us] to go to a beautiful country like Vietnam and say hello to the fans is a really good thing to be a part of.

“I am really excited. Last year was my first experience of Asia and it was a very good one. The people out there are really friendly and excited to see us, to give back to them what they give to us is brilliant.”

Arsene Wenger’s men have also confirmed trips to Indonesia as well as Japan as a part of their Asia tour.

Their Asia tour kicks-off against the Indonesia National Team on 14th July at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. The North London giants conclude their tour following a game against Urawa Reds in Saitama on 26th July.

“We are venturing into different parts of Asia, which is also really exciting”, the 19-year-old continued.

“To be able to go to different parts of the world and experience different cultures is fantastic and they are all Arsenal mad out there, too.

“Hopefully we can go out there and put on a good show for them. We can’t wait to go.”
