Carlos Tevez’s transfer to Juventus could be the starting point for a host of players to make the move to Serie A, according to the striker’s well-known associate Kia Joorabchian.

Joorabchian is arguably best known for a high-profile transfer saga involving Tevez’s move from Corinthians to West Ham United and then on to Manchester United.

The Argentine’s move from Corinthians had been facilitated by Joorabchian alongside that of team-mate Javier Mascherano to the Hammers.

According to Sky Italia, the man who owns a company known as Media Sports Investments, has been full of praise at Tevez’s latest move and hopes to bring in more players.

"It’s fantastic, as Juventus is a great club and I hope they can win it all this year, even the Champions League", Joorabchian said. "I hope I can bring other players to Italy."

Tevez has been signed by Juventus from Manchester City on a three-year deal, and has been handed the number 10 shirt, previously worn by club legends Roberto Baggio, Michel Platini and, most recently, Alessandro Del Piero.

"I hope all of these successes for Carlos, of course", Joorabchian added. "He is very important for this team and is already a crowd favourite.

"The number 10 shirt? It’s a great satisfaction, and it is a significant gesture because he’s a great player."
