New Stoke City signing Erik Pieters has explained he is excited about the chance to play for the Potters in the Premier League.
Mark Hughes’ side completed the signing of the left-back from PSV Eindhoven yesterday, paying the Dutch club €3.6m to sign the Holland international.
Pieters is a player the English side have tracked for quite some time and the defender is happy they have made good on their interest.
"I’m really looking forward to playing for this club. It’s important for me that the first impression is good and I’ve got a great feeling about Stoke City", he told his new club’s official site.

"I’ve always had good feelings about all the clubs I’ve played for when I’ve first joined them and this one is no different", Pieters added.
And the defender cannot wait to get started in the Premier League.
"Of course, I’ve always wanted to play in the Premier League.
"It’s one of the hardest competitions to play in with some great players and teams and I’m really looking forward to it."
