Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has admitted that the constant transfer speculation surrounding him is now starting to become annoying.
The Uruguayan has seen himself strongly linked with Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid this summer, with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis saying throughout the saga that he will only let the 26-year-old leave if an interested party meets his €63m release clause.
For Cavani, who is at the Confederations Cup with Uruguay, being constantly asked questions about a possible transfer has now crossed a line, distracting and annoying him.
"Your [journalists’] speculation did not disturb me in the beginning, but I must confess that the rumours are starting to annoy me", Cavani told a press conference in Brazil.

"You talk too much about things and I should not talk about it yet. I am still taking part in this tournament and I am only thinking about our next match."
Cavani is in action later today when Uruguay take on Italy in the third place playoff clash at the Confederations Cup.
The striker has called for a face-to-face meeting with Napoli president De Laurentiis after the conclusion of the tournament, something the Azzurri supremo claims is not needed.
