Bayern Munich sporting director Mathias Sammer has refuted suggestions that the champions are looking at more high-profile purchases of David Luiz and Sergi Roberto as new manager Pep Guardiola begins his reign.
Guardiola was expected to raid his former club after taking over as Bayern Munich boss this summer, and one of the names mooted was Barcelona B player Sergi Roberto, contracted in Spain until 2015.
With Mario Gotze already unveiled, it was the turn of David Luiz to be on the Bavarians’ radar, but arguably the most high-profile saga has been of Robert Lewandowski.
The Borussia Dortmund man has been told by his club he is not leaving, despite a long-held desire, even as Sammer revealed earlier today that he was not ruling out a future swoop.

However, the sporting director has since made the club’s transfer policy a lot clearer.
"There are still two months left of the transfer window", he told Spox. "And there may be more purchases if some players, for example, get injured.
"But as of now there are no plans for multiple purchases."
