Jonathan Barnett, the agent of Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale, has revealed that there has been no offer from Real Madrid for his client.

The classy Welshman has been heavily linked with the Spanish heavyweights this summer, with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez admitting his admiration for the player. The 23-year-old has also explained his admiration for the Spanish league, revealing he is a big fan of La Liga.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has stated that the club will not consider any offer from other sides that can lure Bale away from North London.

Bale’s agent revealed in May that his client would be honoured to receive an offer from Real Madrid, but he now insists that there has been no offer put forward by the Spanish outfit.

Speaking to Marca TV, Barnett said: "There is no offer from Madrid, we’ll have to talk to them and see. Bale hasn’t said no, but he hasn’t said yes either.”

Bale – who started his youth career with Southampton – arrived at White Hart Lane in 2007, and has since received rave reviews for his displays.

He picked up the PFA Player of the Year Award, the PFA Young Player of the Year Award, as well as the FWA Footballer of the Year Award for his performances in the 2012/13 season.

He clocked up a total of 44 appearances under Villas-Boas last season, scoring 26 goals. His contract with Spurs runs until June 2016.
