Maxime Gonalons has ruled out leaving Lyon this summer, even if he has been linked with Serie A giants Napoli and English Premier League heavyweights Arsenal.
The classy midfielder impressed under Remi Garde at the Stade Gerland last season as Lyon finished third in Ligue 1, qualifying for the Champions League.
It had been suggested he could be sold this summer though, with Napoli holding talks with his agent and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger mooted to be considering a double swoop for Gonalons and his team-mate Clement Grenier.
But from the 24-year-old’s point of view, another season with Lyon is the right course.

"I think that I will stay at Lyon, even if I know that in football anything is possible", Gonalons was quoted as saying by Maxifoot.
"I have at least one more year to give to Lyon.
"I still have things to learn here."
Gonalons made 35 appearances in Ligue 1 for Lyon last season, scoring three goals.
His desire to stay will no doubt be a boost to Les Gones boss Garde.
