New Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has explained he is more than happy to hold talks with defender Mamadou Sakho and considers the 23-year-old part of his plans.
Sakho is concerned about a potential season warming the bench at the Parc des Princes, especially in a World Cup year, and wants assurances from Blanc that he will play.
And the centre-back would have options if he chose to move, with AC Milan and Liverpool interested in his services, something Sakho himself has admitted to finding "flattering".
Blanc though is set to hold talks with the player.

"I have heard that he wants to talk with the management and with the coach", Blanc told a press conference.
"For me, that’s no problem at all. I’ll do that with great pleasure.
"In that area of the pitch we have what we need. We have four players, which is the right number and the correct number.
"Of course, I count on Mamadou Sakho."
Sakho has admitted that his heart is at PSG, having grown up with the capital club. However, the defender also looks ready to move on if he doubts the amount of first team football he will receive.
