Manchester City are planning to fill the void left by striker Carlos Tevez’s move to Juventus by eyeing up Roma man Pablo Osvaldo, according to Sky Italia.
Osvaldo has been at Roma since 2011 when he moved from Espanyol, where he would have caught the eye of Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini, when the latter was at Malaga.
Pellegrini has since taken up duties at the Etihad Stadium, but one of the first major moves was to see Tevez leave for Juventus, which leaves a massive set of shoes to fill in Manchester.
It is understood that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has flown to England to speak with Manchester City officials.
