Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is looking forward to experiencing playing in Hong Kong as the club prepare to compete for the Barclays Asia Trophy.
Spurs travel to Asia to continue their build-up to the upcoming season. The competition is held every two years in Asia and is a four-team pre-season friendly tournament.
Andre Villas-Boas’ side take on Sunderland in the opening match of the competition at the Hong Kong National Stadium on 24th July, and next go head to head with either Manchester City or local team South China FC on 27th July.
Lloris – who arrived at the club last summer – will also be playing his first Spurs match in Asia, and he is excited with that prospect.

“It will be my first experience of Asia”, the France international told his club’s official site. “I’m very excited to discover Hong Kong.
“Maybe it’s a little different from the European mentality and interesting to find out about it.
“In Asia, they love football and the Premier League, so it’s a good opportunity for us.
“Also, to play against Manchester City and Sunderland is good. We will all be in the same physical condition and this is an opportunity to play good games.”
The former Lyon player is also keen on winning both the matches and lifting the trophy.
“Also, it’s a trophy, so when you play a competition, you want to win!”
Following the competition, Villas-Boas’ side travel to France to face Monaco in a pre-season friendly on 3rd August at Stade Louis II. They also take on Spanish side Espanyol in another friendly at White Hart Lane on 10th August, before kicking-off the 2013/14 Premier League season on 17th August.
