Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur and Ligue 1 stalwarts Marseille will certainly have been put on heightened alert after it was revealed that one club are interested in signing Internacional’s Leandro Damiao.
Damiao, 23, is thought to be hotly in the centre of the viewfinders of both Spurs and Marseille with both clubs believed to be negotiating down Internacional’s asking price of €25m.
But in an interview with Brazil’s UOL, Damiao’s agent has revealed that only one club are in talks with Internacional at the moment.
"There is a club interested. We spoke with Internacional for several days, but now we have to wait. Internacional have set a value, which is very important, so we need more discussions", said the agent.

The claims will surely spark speculation as to which club currently has the upper hand by already having talks with the Brazilian outfit. Indeed, that "interested" club may not be Tottenham or Marseille at all.
Damiao’s 2012 form of 24 goals in 43 appearances is starting to show itself this year, with the 23-year-old already having a tally of eight goals in 18 appearances for Internacional.
Damiao’s contract with the Porto Alegre outfit is set to expire in 2017.
