Arsenal have jumped into the race for wantaway Liverpool striker Luis Suarez with a £30m bid, but the Reds have categorically rejected the same, according to the BBC.
Suarez has been the subject of interest from Real Madrid, with president Florentino Perez revealing a liking earlier in the summer, while Chelsea have also been linked with the player.
Liverpool have always insisted Suarez is not for sale, but the forward has expressed his dissatisfaction with what he perceives to be "unfair" treatment from the British press.
It appears Arsenal are unfazed by those feelings, and are understood to be keen on the player after reports of a direct approach made to Liverpool officials for a move.

Suarez’s release clause is reportedly set at £40m, and it would seem Arsenal’s bid falls well short of that amount.
The Gunners’ approach, however, has rekindled interest in the 26-year-old, who had previously expressed a desire to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, prompting further speculation about a transfer.
Suarez recently played for Uruguay in the Confederations Cup in Brazil, making five appearances and scoring three goals.
He, however, is well into his 10-match ban for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic last season and any team wishing to purchase him will have to contend with losing him in the initial stages of 2013/14.
