Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is of the opinion that maturity has made him a better player.

The Poland international has been in great form between the sticks for the Gunners this season and has thus far managed to keep seven clean sheets in all competitions.

And Szczesny has attributed the improvement in his game to maturity and experience.

The 23-year-old further added that he is still on a learning curve but explained that he is keen to continue his good form.

“It comes down to maturity. The older you get, the more games you play and you know how to deal with things, you know how to prepare for things”, the custodian told his club’s official site.

“It is not only about being professional, it is also about being relaxed and you don’t feel that when you have played 10 or 15 games at the top level.

“I’m still learning, I’m not saying I have it spot on but everything seems to be going well for me and I want to keep it going.”

Szczesny is a product of Arsenal’s youth system and has made 123 appearances in all competitions for the club.

He also has been capped 14 times by Poland and has represented the nation at various youth levels.
