Manchester United legend Denis Law believes that the club's new manager David Moyes should not be judged until the end of the season.

Moyes has had a difficult introduction to life at Old Trafford, having taken over from Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer, although the side have shown crucial signs of fight of late.

Indeed, Manchester United are currently on an nine-match unbeaten run and defeated Arsenal 1-0 in a vital Premier League contest at the weekend.

However, the Red Devils are still only fifth in the standings and have work to do.

But Law does not believe Moyes should be assessed at the moment, with the season's end a fair time for that.

"We knew it'd be a hard situation to take over from Sir Alex", he told his old club's official site.

"I've got to say that, but it's well documented that Alex didn't have a great time to begin with.

"So it was a difficult situation for David but he's a good manager.

"Although things didn't go too well at the beginning, we have to wait until the end of season.

"Now we're coming back into it and I think the game on Sunday indicated how the season will finish."
