Tottenham Hotspur are alive to the talents of Malaga midfielder Sergi Darder and will not be averse to a move for the starlet next summer.

Darder has quickly emerged as Malaga's next big thing and has garnered interest accordingly, which the Spanish side have been keen to fend off.

Indeed, only earlier this month Malaga persuaded the Espanyol youth product to put pen to paper on a new contract running through to 2017, in a move which seemingly ended any chance of a switch this January.

However, according to Spanish outlet Diario Sur, Tottenham have not been put off and are ready to move for Darder in the summer.

Darder was handed his senior debut for Malaga this season in a daunting La Liga clash away at Valencia.

He has since clocked up eleven La Liga appearances under coach Bernd Schuster and has chipped in with three assists in the process.

A natural central midfielder, Darder is also a Spain Under-21 international, last playing in a match against Bosnia on Thursday.
