Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti believes that no one more than Cristiano Ronaldo deserves to win the FIFA Ballon d'Or.
Ronaldo is on the initial 23-man shortlist for the accolade, which will be handed out at the FIFA gala on 13th January, but faces tough opposition from Lionel Messi, Franck Ribery and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who are perceived to be the frontrunners.
Ronaldo has been left annoyed at what he believes are slights by FIFA of late and is even reported to be boycotting the gala.
Nevertheless, Ancelotti feels sure Ronaldo should win.

"If they do not give it to Ronaldo, I will organise a protest in Reggiolo [my home town]", joked Ancelotti to Radio 24.
"No on deserves the award more than him.
"He is an exemplary footballer."
