Germany forward Andre Schurrle feels that England talisman Wayne Rooney would have a tough time securing a spot in his country's starting eleven if he were German.
Schurrle's Germany and Rooney's England are set to collide tomorrow evening at Wembley and the match has become an important yardstick in preparation for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Common consensus in England leans towards the fact that for the Three Lions to excel in Brazil, Rooney will have to be fit and on form.
However, one of England's most crucial players would have trouble even grabbing a starting spot in Germany's side, Schurrle feels.

"Would Rooney be an international here? It's difficult here", Schurrle was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.
"Rooney is an excellent player, but we also have excellent capabilities.
"And that's in any position, all of which are perhaps doubly occupied. So I doubt whether he would play."
Schurrle has seen Rooney at close quarters this season, having moved to Premier League side Chelsea in the summer and faced the Englishman's Manchester United on 26th August.
