Nigeria defender Efe Ambrose has piled the expectations on the Super Eagles by explaining he expects the country to do very well at next summer's World Cup.

Nigeria have booked their spot at the football carnival in Brazil, coming through a playoff tie against Ethiopia, which stands alongside an impressive African Cup of Nations win earlier this year.

And Celtic defender Ambrose is sure that the Super Eagles are not just heading to Brazil to make up the numbers.

"I´m happy to be part of this history-making. My target now is to help my country do well at the World Cup. We can shine in Brazil because I know we can play a lot better than what we've been doing", he was quoted as saying by his club's official site.
