Gibraltar's entry into Europe resulted in a double-dream-come-true for coach Allen Bulla after they held Slovakia to a goalless draw in yesterday's friendly.

Gibraltar is not a full member of FIFA, but UEFA gave them membership status in May this year.

Former Manchester United man Danny Higginbotham was present for last night's historic debut fixture where Adam Priestly almost secured the win but for Slovakian goalkeeper Tomas Kosicky.

The draw itself was the start of an era for Bulla, who told UEFA.com: "This is a proud result for Gibraltar and the players gave me so much more than 100%.

"It was a dream to play our first international friendly and now we have another dream come true thanks to this great result."

Gibraltar are UEFA's 54th member nation and will have the right to contest for Champions League and Europa League places from 2014/15 onwards.

Bulla's side will also, in time, have the opportunity to play European Championship qualifiers.
