Leeds coach Neil Redfearn believes that his side must be wary of a Middlesbrough team out to impress when they host the North East outfit at Elland Road on Saturday.

Middlesbrough make the trip for the Championship clash under new management, with former Real Madrid assistant manager Aitor Karanka handed the reins.

It will be Karanka's first game in charge of Boro and for Redfearn that means the club's players will be giving their all in order to impress the Spaniard.

He told Leeds' official site: "They have got a new manager so we have caught them at a time when their lads will be wanting to impress.

"They will try and up their game I would have thought.

"You always get that bit of a lift when a new gaffer comes in."

But Redfearn is not worrying about Middlesbrough and would rather focus on Leeds, with the side on a fine run of form at present and eighth in the Championship table.

"We are on a real good run of form and there is a confidence running through the club", he said.

"The lads are really looking forward to the Middlesbrough game."
