Tottenham Hotspur skipper Michael Dawson is looking for his side to return to winning ways as they travel north on Sunday to face Manchester City.

Spurs' form has taken a dip of late, the team registering only a single win in their last three games, their latest a disappointing 1-0 loss against Newcastle United at home.

But Tottenham have nevertheless started the season well and have cemented their status as top four challengers after taking a 20-point haul from 11 games, just five points adrift of league leaders and bitter rivals Arsenal.

A win at the Etihad Stadium, however, would do wonders for team morale and send a clear message to Tottenham's rivals, something Dawson is keen for his team to do.

"They are on the back of a disappointing result in their last match in the Premier League – the same as us", Dawson told his club's official site.

"We’ll go there and look to get back to winning ways. It’s a tough game, a big game and one I’m sure both teams, both sets of fans and the neutrals are all looking forward to.

"Okay, we go there on the back of a big disappointment against Newcastle – that was tough to take. But we can be confident", Dawson concluded.
