Veteran Paris Saint-Germain defender Christophe Jallet has backed team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic to quickly bounce back from his disappointment of having his country lose a spot at the 2014 World Cup against Portugal.

Ibrahimovic's brace in Sweden's second-leg qualification playoff match against Portugal earlier this week proved futile as the hosts were defeated 3-2 (4-2 on aggregate) thanks to a hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo.

And while Ibrahimovic had been open about his disappointment of missing an opportunity to showcase his talents on football's biggest stage next year, Jallet believes the target man will be able to bounce back from the blip.

"Zlatan? He'll be fine. He is a great champion", Jallet told France Bleu.

"Sure, he was very disappointed but he will always be eager to achieve his goals with PSG, now, perhaps even more", the defender added.

Ibrahimovic joined Ligue 1 giants PSG in 2012 from Italian heavyweights AC Milan and has since then been an influential player in their line-up, scoring no less than 50 goals for the Parisian side so far.
