Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has promised to assess offers for playmaker Remy Cabella in the summer and allow the Frenchman to depart if the "right" one arrives.
Cabella has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, not least English Premier League champions Manchester United, causing Montpellier coach Jean Fernandez to explain if the Red Devils bid a substantial amount it would be difficult to hold onto his prized asset.
Nicollin does not want to lose Cabella in January, but is willing to be open to a sale in the summer.
He was quoted as telling Le 10 Sport: "Cabella is a great player.

"We will see if there is the right opportunity for him to go in the summer."
Attack-minded Cabella is a key man at the Stade de la Mosson and has made 13 appearances in all competitions under Fernandez so far this season.
The 23-year-old has chipped in with an impressive five goals and four assists in the process.
Cabella is under contract with Montpellier until the summer of 2016.
