Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has warned his team-mates they must not dwell on their Champions League situation, with a "tough" match against Cardiff City coming up at the weekend.

The Gunners beat Marseille 2-0 in the Champions League last night, but despite having 12 points and sitting top of their group, still need to avoid a three-goal defeat away to Napoli in their last match to secure qualification.

Arteta wants the side to quickly turn their attention back to the Premier League though and focus on Cardiff, who held Manchester United to a draw last weekend.

"We start thinking about Saturday now and we have time to prepare for the game in Napoli", the Spanish midfielder told his club's official site.

"Cardiff will be very tough.

"That’s why we need to get back and prepare well for Saturday to make sure we get the points again."

Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League table having taken 28 points from their opening 12 games.
