Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet expects Hull City to adopt a physical approach when they provide the Reds' opposition on Sunday.

The Belgian shot-stopper, who joined Liverpool from Sunderland in the summer, has first hand experience of working with Hull boss Steve Bruce from his time at the Black Cats.

And Mignolet expects a tough game against Bruce's men, with the former Sunderland manager sending his side out to play a very physical game.

"I know Steve Bruce from my time at Sunderland and I know he always tries to get the lads up for it, so I'm sure they will be and put us under pressure", Mignolet explained to his club's official site.

"I expect a physical game, but we have to look at ourselves and make sure we do the things we do best.

"We have to make sure we're ready and put in a good performance."

Hull sit 13th in the Premier League standings, having picked up 14 points from 12 games. Liverpool meanwhile are in the lofty position of second, on 24 points.
