Zulte Waregem are just over halfway through their season, but Thorgan Hazard is already dreaming of some personal glory in amongst the title race.

Hazard is the fourth-highest goalscorer in the Jupiler Pro League so far with nine in as many games and only two behind the leading man Ivan Santini.

With Zulte second in the table and also fighting for a Europa League knockout-round berth, Hazard hopes his scoring touch will soon land him the Golden Boot in his country.

"Obviously I am thinking about the Golden Boot, since everyone is talking about me," he was quoted by RTBF, speaking ahead of his side's Europa League match last night, as saying.

"But today I prefer that we qualify for the [Europa League knockout round] because this would be a great collective reward and a good experience for all of us."

Zulte took a giant step towards achieving their European goal with a 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium with Hazard getting the opening goal.

Zulte, who are second in their Group D standings, will face leaders Rubin Kazan in the final game of the group stage in mid-December.
