Paris Saint-Germain could see Thiago Motta pen a one-year extension at the club before the start of next week, according to L'Equipe, ending interest from Manchester City and Chelsea.
Former Inter Milan midfielder Motta was understood to be unhappy at the initial renewal offers, something his agent gave voice to.
Motta's agent Alessandro Canovi had even claimed his client did not feel part of the PSG project, despite being willing to stay on beyond 2015.
However, it would seem both parties are keen to move forward which means clubs such as Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid will have to look elsewhere.

The expected contract extension will see Motta tied down until June 2016, with the relevant formalities set to be completed over the weekend.
Motta became subject to speculation around Napoli in the summer but that came to nought.
With his attacking qualities and experience Motta will be a catch for a top-flight club, given he has scored twice in four Champions League games this season with three assists.
Though he is yet to score in Ligue 1, Motta has missed just two of the club's 14 league games as PSG continue their unbeaten run.
