Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is delighted that his team have beaten Cardiff City 3-0, feeling they can now relax with the pressure firmly on their rivals.

The Gunners ran out comfortable winners at the Cardiff City Stadium with two goals from Aaron Ramsey and one from Mathieu Flamini putting Arsenal on 31 points from 13 games.

Arsenal are now seven points ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea, who are second and third, while they are nine ahead of Manchester City in fifth and ten ahead of Manchester United in seventh.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all play tomorrow and Wenger knows his side's win will have placed added pressure on those clubs seen as title rivals to respond.

"It was a very solid defensive performance that was needed against Cardiff", he told the BBC.

"When you play first [before your rivals] you can only do your job and see what happens after.

"But if you do your job well you can relax."

Arsenal are next in action at home against Hull City on Wednesday, while after that Everton make the trip to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
