Hedwiges Maduro is inching closer to an exit from Spain after declaring it is "my right" to find regular game time via a winter move.

Maduro had previously claimed he would love to play in either England or Germany, though he is not averse to returning to former club Ajax with his Sevilla contract running out in 2015.

The 28-year-old is frozen out at Sevilla having not been included in the 25-man La Liga squad list.

And he was quoted by Estadio Deportivo as saying: "We're pretty confident that I can go free in January. I think I have the right to it.

"Of course I'm not too big for the Dutch league. Everyone knows my feelings for [Ajax], and it would certainly be a option if I get a proposal."

Maduro had arrived in Spain in 2008 at Valencia before moving to Sevilla in July last year.

His four years as a senior Ajax player yielded 108 appearances for the defensive midfielder, with 11 goals to boot.
